If there’s anything I’m absolutely obsessed with then it’s mastering that perfect, luxurious-looking Victoria’s Secret blowout look. However, I’m no Gigi Hadid and I’m also no Miranda Kerr. And while genetics do play a significant role in the way our hair looks, it doesn’t mean that the right tools aren’t important too. Especially if you’re someone with naturally flat hair that struggles to maintain any type of curl. So, that’s why I decided to do some research and find some of the best hair tools on the market that can give you those luxurious locks that we’re all dreaming about.
Blow Drying Brush
If there’s anything you absolutely need from today’s list then it’s a blow-drying brush. These have made my life just so much easier! They combine the power of a hair dryer with the styling ability of a round brush, making them a time-saving miracle for those busy mornings. This tool is perfect for achieving a salon-quality blowout at home, giving you smooth, voluminous hair without the need for multiple devices. And the best part — you don’t have to break the bank to get one of these bad boys.
The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer is a great budget option, and they have even released a Pro version of this iconic product that’s even better for blowouts on the go. But, of course, if you have the budget for it — nothing beats the Dyson Air Wrap. The Airwrap uses air to style your hair without extreme heat, reducing damage and giving you long-lasting volume.
Curling Wand
If you love more structured curls, then a curling wand is the way to go. I always preferred using a wand instead of a clamp curler, as they are just so much more user-friendly, and give a more natural and relaxed look. They come in various sizes and shapes, so you can experiment to find the one that gives you the look you love.
One thing that I particularly like them for is quickly curling my hair while it’s in a high ponytail — this takes only a couple of minutes but it gives me gorgeous soft waves. The curling wand that I always recommend is the GHD Curve Creative Curl Wand. It gives you amazing variety, and the curls last super long as well.
Heated Rollers
Listen, I don’t care how old-fashioned they are — I will NEVER give up on heated rollers. They are the easiest, quickest, and most convenient way to give your hair some extra body and volume. Simply heat them up, roll them into your hair, and let them cool. The result is glamorous curls that last all day. And all of that with minimal effort. Sure, it’ll take some practice until you get the hang of it. But once you do, you’ll be absolutely hooked on the results.
Remington has some absolutely amazing affordable options, and so does Conair. But if you have a higher budget, you could also try the T3 Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe. And even if you don’t have hot rollers at all — velcro rollers can do the trick too. Just make sure to apply heat to your hair either with a flat iron or a blow-drying brush, and quickly roll up your hair with the velcro roller. You’ll end up with gorgeous volume and a soft curl.
